EditGuard
Bulk product edits for your Shopify store, with a preview, guardrails and a true undo. Every change is shown before it is written, every write is read back, a run that stops part-way leaves an exact ledger, and any run can be undone without touching the edits you made in between.
What it does
- A task picks products (a collection, a tag, a vendor, a type, a list of SKUs, a filter on any field, or the whole store) and one or more edits: set, add text at the start or end, find and replace (plain or with a regular expression, with every match shown), add or remove tags, add to or remove from collections, set a typed metafield, set the status.
- Shows every change, per product and field, before anything is written.
- Holds a run that would empty a title or handle, remove every tag from the store, name a collection or metafield the store lacks, or change too much of the store at once.
- Reads every write back from your store and reports what it could not verify, rather than calling it done.
- Undoes any run with a three-way check: what the task set goes back; what you changed since stays, and the report says so.
- Starts on a schedule in your store's time zone, or runs when you say.
What it does not do
EditGuard never changes prices or compare-at prices, and it never deletes a product, variant, image or collection. It does not touch inventory, orders or customers.
